Meteorologist Chris Swaim is proud to be forecasting for his home state as part of the WRTV morning team.
A Central Indiana native, Chris is thrilled to be back home.
Chris earned his degree in meteorology and climatology from Ball State University, with a minor in geographic information science. His career has taken him across the country, with stops in the Quad Cities, Arkansas, Milwaukee, Omaha and most recently, two years in Maryland at WMAR.
He holds the National Weather Association Seal of Approval, a mark of excellence in broadcast meteorology, and brings years of severe weather experience to WRTV. His passion lies in communicating forecasts clearly and effectively — especially when it matters most.
Outside of the studio, you’ll likely find Chris hiking with his dog Kylo or photographing wildlife.
