INDIANAPOLIS — A man was arrested after allegedly shooting another man during a road rage incident on I-70 last week, police said.

According to the Indiana State Police, last thursday around 6 a.m., troopers responded to a shooting incident where the victim was found in a vehicle on the ramp from I-465 to I-70. Emergency responders treated him for non-life-threatening injuries before transporting him to a local hospital.

Investigators learned that the victim had been involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a maroon Chevrolet Silverado.

As the victim approached I-70, the Silverado pulled alongside and fired shots, hitting the victim before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, the incident was recorded by a camera inside the victim's vehicle, which aided in the investigation.

With this evidence, police identified the suspect as a 35-year-old man from Beech Grove.

He has been arrested on preliminary charges of Aggravated Battery, Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Criminal Recklessness, and is currently held at the Marion County Jail.
